# Bourette

[Bourette](/content/glossary/bourette/index.html) is a fancy plied [yarn](/content/glossary/yarn/index.html) (usually silk) with nubs and knot of another color, which create a chromatic effect very elegant and perfect for summery clothing (jackets, shirts, pants etc.) and for winter, with more structured garment.
